I just did my financial planning for the next 12 months, which involves me taking stock of how much I have in savings (all accounts, cash, unused scholarship money, etc), how much I can expect to earn from various channels (part time job, scholarships, repaid loans, random income), and how much I need to spend over the course of next year (university, textbooks, webhosting, longterm savings contribution).
As of right now it's worked out to (approximately):
Total Savings : ~$2250
Expected Earnings : ~$4945.
-------------------
Total money available in the next 12 months: ~$7195
Forseen expenses: ~$6240
$7195 - $6240 = $955 left over for spending money.
$955 / 12 months / 4 weeks = ~$20 per week.
This is... okay I guess. One thing is that I'm probably going to have to spend around $120 on public transit over the next three months until I can get my UPass again in September, so that cuts into it as well. Hrrrm.
Also, the expected earnings includes about $2000 from a scholarship I'm expecting, which I am PRETTY SURE I am going to get (since it's for everyone with a GPA above a certain number), but things could always go wrong with that, they could discontinue it, or make it less than originally planned or something. In which case I'd have no choice but to borrow money or start selling babies on the black market or something. XD Or some other form of self employed income. [HINT HINT, COMMISSION ME.

)
Not sure why I'm posting about this. o.o For some reason I always get the urge to share my results whenever I finish a huge planning session.

Oh well, I consider myself lucky that I don't have to pay for rent, pay for groceries (whoohoo parents) or go into debt.
Anyway, great artwork ya got here!
Thank you!
